Founded and run by Diana K. Dobrescu since 2017, Vrstvy is an advertising photography studio based in Košice, Slovakia.
Vrstvy is Slovak for “layers”. It describes how we practice the craft – by considering the many layers of context necessary to best represent your product visually.

About Diana
K. Dobrescu
Diana studied advertising photography at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, the Czech Republic, and completed her master's degree at the Institute of Creative Photography at Silesian University in Opava.
Currently, she runs Vrstvy studio and cross-pollinates her sharp attitude and skills through teaching photography at the Private School of Art Industry and Film in Košice, Slovakia.
Diana considers photography as a tool for activism and so been involved in several projects for the cause. To name a few, she documents modernist buildings and architecture at peril, captures the street-art mural movement of Košice and regularly shoots
for the designer clothes made locally for sharing.
Under her lead, the Vrstvy brand aims to create a photography festival in Košice, juxtaposing commercial and art photography
and educating wider public in photographic literacy.
Besides all, she's a skilled art producer, event manager, and family caretaker. She lives in a tiny house with a cat, a dog, and her husband Filip.
